These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and CDL Career Mode ("the Service," "we," "our," or "us"), an independent project operated by an individual based in Canada. By accessing or using the Service (including the website at cdlsimulator.com and the desktop application) you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
CDL Career Mode is a fan-made Call of Duty League career simulator. It is an unofficial project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Activision Publishing, Inc., the Call of Duty League, Major League Gaming, or any of their teams, players, or partners. All team names, player names, logos, trademarks, and other intellectual property referenced in the Service are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and informational purposes only under principles of fair use. No challenge to any ownership is intended.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service or create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our reasonable discretion.
The Service is free. Every mode and feature is available to all users at no cost, and nothing is locked behind a payment.
Optional support. You may choose to make a voluntary donation to help cover the running costs of the Service (such as servers, storage, and cloud saves), either as a one-time gift or as a recurring monthly contribution. Donations are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. A donation is a gift of support: it is not a purchase, and it does not unlock any features or grant any additional rights or benefits.
Recurring donations. If you choose a monthly donation, it renews automatically each month at the amount you selected until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation stops future charges; it does not affect access to anything, since the Service is free regardless.
Refunds. Because donations are voluntary and grant nothing in return, they are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you donated by mistake, contact us and we will do our best to help.
You retain ownership of the game saves and content you create. By using cloud saves, you grant us a limited license to store, copy, and transmit that content solely to operate the cloud save feature for you. You are responsible for keeping your own backups; while we take reasonable care, we do not guarantee that saves will never be lost or corrupted, and we recommend exporting important saves.
The original software, design, code, and original content of the Service are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial enjoyment. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners as described in Section 2.
The Service is provided on an evolving basis. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service (including features or content) at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of significant changes.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that your saved data will always be available. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CDL Career Mode and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CDL Career Mode and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm or legal liability. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that the courts located in Ontario, Canada will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings locally.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
